This position serves as a key Business Partner to the site operations team.   The successful candidate will have a high functioning understanding of a wide breadth and depth of Human Resources including Benefits, Compensation, and Compliance.  They will support business growth and results by championing employee engagement, continuous improvement, and sustainability efforts.  
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with employees and site leaders to communicate and give guidance on various Human Resources activities, policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations. 
  • Possess high emotional intelligence with an ability to quickly assess and shift communications and actions to meet individual audience needs. 
  • Acts as a central point of coordination and management for local leave management.
  • Assess, analyze, and recommend action plans to maximize engagement, development, and organizational structure. 
  • Advise and direct on Employee Relations and effectively coach managers and supervisors.
  • Assess and aid in development of People on best practices to enable Supervisors to effectively engage, develop, and manage direct reports.
  • Ability to work effectively and interact in multiple environments, including but not limited to, virtual audiences, manufacturing environments, and a wide breadth of internal and external customers. 
  • Effectively managing and transitioning between administrative and professional level support responsibilities while meeting varying deadlines for each.
  • Develop Supervisors and Managers in leadership skills, by identifying opportunities and serving as a credible coach. 
  • Assuming an unbiased position, develop investigation plans for complaints and provide recommendations to leaders for resolution. 
  • Partner with Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits and HRIS to administer key programs and activities. 
  • Support hiring and onboarding processes at the local level which may include, but is not limited to screening, interviewing, onboarding training and other local recruitment activities.
  • Completes or assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals, data, or key metrics.
  • Conduct exit activities for employees while respectfully transitioning employees to exit and ensure compliance and security of company assets. 

 


 

Required Skills

  • 5-10+ years of relevant Human Resource experience.
  • Experience required in a manufacturing, production, or other industrial environment. 
  • Proficiency with HR related software applications: HRIS (SuccessFactors, WorkDay), ATS, Time and Attendance System (UKG, Etime, ADP, Ceridian).
  • Ability to work effectively with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platforms.  
  • Ability to maintain confidential information. 
  • Ability to travel <10% of the time.

  • A high level of Ownership and Autonomy and ability to resolve complex issues independently and display a continuous improvement mindset.  
  • Experience managing, developing, and driving projects throughout organizations and assisting with Change Management.
  • Demonstrate an employee forward focus and a desire to champion, coach, and develop others.
  • Ability to work and support interactions in a plant and office environment including potential support of activities outside of the standard working schedule.   

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required.
  • HR Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP) preferred.
