Product Release Technician

The Release Technician is part of the site Quality Assurance group which provides support for the overall QA group, product grading support, and completes release of product in SAP for all production units on site.

Key Responsibilities

Product grading and release of daily Kraton, Semiworks and toll location production
Product grading and release of Tolling/3rd Party manufacturing of polymers requiring further processing prior to sale. 
Collection of analytical and production data, reviewing analyses, entering data into SAP, and releasing product into proper sales SQRs.
Creates the lot folder, reviews the information collected and creates the suggested grading and release strategy for the lot to ensure production planned volume of sales SQRs is being met. Works with planners to ensure material is placed into the most strict and most needed SQRs first.
Use of LIMS for finished product lot reports and entering work requests.
Requests samples from warehouses for further testing to support product release, shelf life extension requests, and support projects such as long term stability projects, product change projects, etc…
Release responsibility for all reclasses, recycle, and management of shelf-life expiration dates.
Receiving, and reclassing returns and imports
Review and assessment of inventories versus our Master Sample Stock List
Grading and Reclassing product into Wide-Spec SQR.
Prime/non-prime/recycle data entry into the QA database with monthly reporting.
Request material IDs for existing products as needed.
Coordinate the review and approval of new and/or revised SQRs and maintain Global SQR spreadsheet.
Grading, release, NCR management, and widespec repackaging job creation and management for our Joint Venture partner including 2 additional release processes for managing raw material consumption from their inventory and ensure COGS calculates correctly based on the type of production being performed.
Yearly records retention for lot folders.
Complete reclasses for product produced in Asia as needed.
Create purchase requests for the department, complete service entries in SAP for invoiced services.
Coordination of purchasing office supplies and lab supplies.
 

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of SAP is required.
• Proficiency in EXCEL, Access, and SharePoint is required.
• Ability to work effectively with people inside Belpre and outside Belpre.
• Knowledge of products made at Belpre (KRATON, and other affiliated production) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Logimax, LIMS, Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus. 
• Chemistry background is preferred, position requires ability to communicate about technical.
• Applicants should be able to demonstrate ability to be a self-starter, to solve problems, make decisions, manage multiple priorities, and work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

• Associates Degree or higher required, BS Degree or higher preferred 
• 7 Years Manufacturing Experience Required
