The Regional Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of our warehouse operations, as well as the direct management of our intra/inter logistics activities to and from our plants, distribution centers and tolling locations. This position will support the Regional Supply Chain Manager to achieve world-class supply chain performance at the optimal cost. This will require the monitoring of critical KPI’s and the usage of meaningful dashboards. Position will work with customer service and operations to ensure smooth operations by meeting our CFP Metrics and Inventory Accuracy Requirements. This position leads and implement key projects that improve tools, processes, productivity and compliance to regulatory requirements. This position will own defining robust business continuity and emergency response plans.

 

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as key contact internally and externally and be an expert for logistics processes within the region
  • Identify and quantify improvement potential in Logistics network set-up
  • Work with the Global Sourcing Manager – Logistics on the development and implementation of logistics contracts
  • Develop a living list of project opportunities to drive improved logistics performance
  • Coordinate and support operational business after go-live of projects in alignment with stakeholders
  • Support Regional Supply Chain Manager in our strategic planning and budgeting processes
  • Drive and maintain outsourcing strategy for logistics operations
  • Identify to Regional Supply Chain Manager cost saving potentials during the year and track progress towards goals and an accounting of actual savings 
  • Supplier Report Card management for relevant service partners as coordinated by the Regional Supply Chain Manager
  • Maintain Performance Dashboard (key logistics metrics) for the intra logistics operations and develop further KPI’s to support our continuous improvement plan
  • Lead inventory control process for the region
  • Support in definition and implementation of KPI’s for an improved inventory transparency and control
  • Support logistics audit program (Safety, ISO/quality, FDA, C-TPAT, AEO)
  • Act as focal point for logistics complaints and claim management
  • Manage the development and implementation of operational quality and security standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and customer service efficiency projects.
  • Parked invoice resolution and warehousing cost reviews

Required Skills

  • 10–15 years of experience in logistics, supply chain
  • SAP knowledge an asset.
  • Demonstrate clear commitment to factors affecting HSE.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain.  Chemicals background a plus.
  • Team player, self-starter, ability to work and build cooperation in a multinational team / matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a working knowledge of basic statistics and Six Sigma methodologies and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a high performance environment.
  • Ability to perform all duties in an accurate, timely and professional manner within the guidelines of established company procedures and policies, while maintaining a flexible approach to enforcing those policies.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the willingness to adapt and learn in a multi-systems computerized work environment.
  • Displays a sense of urgency by reacting promptly to the various deadlines associated with customers' orders so as to meet the Company’s commitments to those customers.
  • Works independently in a proactive manner to resolve issues before they reach crisis proportions.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of business via phone, written communication and in person.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and SAP ERP system.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Degree from accredited university, college or business school or equivalent work experience.
