International Tax Manager

The International Tax Manager will be responsible for the preparation of annual and quarterly income tax accruals for US and foreign entities. We are looking for someone that is highly self-motivated; takes initiative; identifies and addresses issues; works efficiently with attention to detail; is collaborative and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and supervise the preparation of annual and quarterly income tax accruals for US international impacts and foreign entities.
  • ASC 740-30 (fka APB 23) assertions, book/tax basis differences in foreign subsidiaries
  • Review and calculate uncertain tax position under ASC 740-10 (fka FIN 48) for foreign entities.
  • Work with staff to develop goals and objectives and provide performance feedback.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of the US consolidated federal income tax return including form 8991, 8992, 5471, 8858 and 8865.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of foreign local income and VAT returns.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments for foreign income taxes.
  • Prepare and assist with external, internal and taxing authority audit requirements.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding various tax related matters.
  • Review and assist with preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assist with compliance matters related to Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Assist with tax technical research and analysis.
  • Coordinate the reconciliation of deferred tax roll forwards foreign entities
  • Deliver honest, constructive feedback to staff.
  • Assist in identifying and capturing process improvement opportunities.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in a large corporate tax environment - Big 4 firm experience preferred.
  • Solid federal consolidated tax return experience and technical skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management and improvement projects.
  • Solid international tax experience.
  • Transfer pricing experience a plus.
  • Ability to lead a group of professional employees:
  • Capable of developing solid goals and objectives including “stretch goals”
  • Capable of delivering honest, constructive feedback to staff.
  • Must be a good teacher.
  • Capable of identifying and capturing process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to perform technical research, and willing to teach staff how to perform technical research.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which requires prioritization and ability to multi-task.
  • Highly self-motivated; takes initiative; identifies and addresses issues; works efficiently with attention to detail.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Masters in Taxation preferred
  • CPA preferred.
