Key Responsibilities

Project Identification and Execution

• Identify applications where HiMA applications solve problems for the DoTs
• Maintain a list of opportunities
• Coordinate with Kraton Sales team to support closure of SBS sales 
• Assist DoT’s to develop Specifications for RFQs to the contractors
• Onsite engagement during projects to ensure successful execution

DoT Engagement

• Identify different tiers of opportunity to introduce and support innovative polymer modified applications in the NA asphalt paving market
• Develop relationships with both material design engineers and specification personnel
• Provide education events on topics supporting PMA and the principals of SBS modification

Contractor Engagement

• Focus on those contractors that support the designated DoT lead targets
• Educate the contractors on operational and handling issues to support HiMA applications

Industry Engagement

• Identify industry associations that provide material impact to our SBS modified business
• Seek both leadership and participant roles 
• Seek speaker roles to support education and brand recognition

Personal Growth

• Learn the SBS portfolio and their applications
• Understand Kraton Technical and Polymer support services and be able to convey/deliver these
• Understand the manufacture and applications of PMA for the NA markets

Required Skills

Paving industry experience

• Specifications, Formulations, Pavement Designs, Chemistry/Analytics of pavement binders/structures
• Relationships within the industry
  • DoT’s, Industry Associations

Ability to develop relationships within the industry to gain meaningful dialogues and drive innovation and adoption of SBS-based PMA
Can understand pavement design and specifications and be able to support their development
 

Education, Certifications & Licenses

Bachelors of Masters in Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred; will consider other engineering fields
NA Paving industry knowledge
