The purpose of the IT Business Analyst role is to analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems.  An incumbent in this role represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments.  This role may be assigned to interface with and support one or more client organizations such as Finance, HR, Operations & Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial/Sales/Marketing, Corporate Development, Legal, IT, Research & Development/Science & Technology, and other internal business partners and regional locations. 

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for supporting, configuring, and implementing solutions in SAP and other applications, which drive business value and supports, Warehouse Management, Inbound & Outbound Logistics (includes deliveries, shipments, shipping cost documents), and Inventory
  • Have a thorough understanding of integration points to SAP Master Data, MM, PP, SD, QM, WM, IM, FI-CO, and common third-party applications
  • Act as internal consultant with business users and partner with business process owners/subject matter experts. Identify functionality gaps and continuous improvement opportunities and develop appropriate business cases to support Kraton strategic initiatives and business changes.
  • Experience in configuring and implementing Picking and Put-away strategies
  • Build strong partnerships in support of business and IT strategic plan, ensuring the alignment with Kraton Global objectives.
  • Gather functional requirements for projects, enhancements/development items. Documenting scope, business requirements, system configuration, design, functional specifications, and training material.
  • Work with developer, BASIS, and various technology specialists to provide solutions which are consistent with the Kraton strategic direction and platform standards while meeting business requirements
  • Responsible for initiating communication with business partners and other analysts as necessary to ensure clear understanding of business issues, activity status, etc.
  • Define and execute test cases for unit, integration, system functional, stress and regression testing, as well as acquire user acceptance sign off.
  • Support all Logistics & WM related documents and forms or labels generated via IT applications utilizing industrial printing technology and labeling machines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in business processes/systems analysis. 
  • SAP WM configuration through a minimum of 3 or more full SAP implementations with internal warehousing facilities, external warehousing facilities, and digital twinning between WMS solutions.
  • Use, configuration, and deployment of mobile handheld solutions. e.g, SAP console, MCL, etc.
  • Use, configuration, and deployment of integration with packaging equipment such as zebra label printers for generating product labels, weight scales, wrappers, etc.
  • Experience supporting multiple SAP systems simultaneously for different business units of the same company a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Individuals at this level have broad IT knowledge and considered an expert in a technical/functional IT arena. 
  • This individual proactively analyzes business and technical processes looking for opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve on day-to-day activities of the users. 
  • This individual also delivers recommendations for change and improvements to the IT leadership as well as identifies and applies system solutions to business problems as directed by the IT leadership.  This can include but is not limited to new technology or approaches to process changes.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

Bachelor's degree required, MIS or Logistics-related field or related field of study from an accredited college/university preferred or requisite years of experience is required. E.g., managing warehouse operations, managing production or packing line in the Chemical process.
