Lead Kraton’s Talent Acquisition function and drive the strategy that will help Kraton continue to grow. Create a world-class candidate experience that leads to candidates being promoters of Kraton even if they don’t get the job. Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, understand the labor market for the target positions, create a high-touch candidate experience, and recruit employees who are compatible with Kraton’s culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders (Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners), using a collaborative, consultative approach that establishes trust and builds credibility, to identify current and future talent needs and develop comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to meet those needs.
  • Develop and implement innovative, best-in-class talent acquisition strategies, building relationships, leveraging technology, tapping into professional networks, etc., to build a robust, high quality, diverse talent pipeline (both active and passive).
  • Champion Kraton’s Employee Value Proposition and lead employer branding initiatives in collaboration with Marketing Communications to position Kraton as the employer of choice.
  • Facilitate all phases of the recruitment process, ensuring optimal candidate and hiring manager experiences, to attract and hire high-potential, diverse talent. Source candidates, screen resumes, interview candidates, place ads, present qualified candidates to the hiring team, schedule interviews and manage the recruitment process, keeping the hiring team and candidates apprised of the status.
  • Leverage data, analytics and insights to provide guidance to hiring managers in decision-making, and to identify areas of improvement for talent acquisition.
  • Lead a talented team of recruiters (internal and external), set clear expectations, prioritize and distribute the work, understand and address obstacles and challenges, and demonstrate ownership and accountability.
  • Manage relationships with all talent acquisition vendors and service providers (advertising, sourcing, recruiting agencies, RPO, background checks, drug screens, etc.).
  • Advance Kraton’s college recruitment process for co-ops, interns and entry-level hires.
  • Drive internal adoption of the online recruitment tracking system.
  • Develop and coach hiring managers and teams on best practices for interviewing and selection.
  • Responsible for managing the talent acquisition budget.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, recruiting best practices, target industries, competitors, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a talent acquisition manager in a highly competitive talent market.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, recruitment marketing, employment branding, university relations and recruiting operations.
  • Leadership or management experience working in a fast-paced, growth environment of transformation and change.
  • Previous success with introducing, implementing, and sustaining key Talent Acquisition initiatives and showing direct links to achievement of the business strategy.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, sourcing and recruitment marketing tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hiring practices, behavioral-based interview techniques, tracking processes for applicants and open positions, and recruiting metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR policy/procedures and federal and state laws regarding employment and recruiting.
  • Highly organized, analytical, action and detail oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and collaborate cross-functionally to establish trust, respect, competence and confidence while delivering the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years relevant talent acquisition experience, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry, identifying candidates to meet business needs in a fast-paced environment
