Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

Warehouse responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse inventory, which may include Goods Received, Goods Issued, Goods Transferred, Cycle Count Increases, Cycle Count Decreases
  • Maintain Warehouse receiving log and accurate daily records of goods received and goods issued
  • Checks all items received for accuracy and marks the appropriate receiving documents (packing lists, etc.), includes filing of documents and provides to  necessary individuals
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory and coordinating with lab teams to order supplies, to include routine and ad hoc materials
  • Ensures safe handling and storage of warehouse materials, coordinating with lab teams as needed
  • Conducts physical inventories as needed
  • Responsible for handling repacks, or re-stack pallets of material as needed
  • Safely operates forklift or electric pallet truck and/or hand truck to move materials as needed

Facility/logistic responsibilities

  • Responsible for shipment of parcels, packages, and hazardous goods, both foreign and domestic
  • Performs facility related tasks/projects including but not limited to: periodic lab clean up, rinsing of eye showers, waste disposal, lab coat + PPE cleaning/supply, assembly of furniture, configuration/moving of furniture, etc.
  • Act as a focal point for building and utility maintenance and inspection with service engineers (electricity, hoods, air conditioning, ventilation, etc.)  

General responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing excellent and consistent internal and external customer service
  • Safely performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including forklift experience indoors within small/tight spaces
  • Hazardous goods handing and IATA experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, supplies and consumables used by the laboratory
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse practices, policies, and procedures
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments related to inventory control and facilities projects
  • Excellent safety awareness
  • Computer skills: Microsoft 365 Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • High school/Vocational diploma or equivalent required
  • ER/safety certificates desired
  • Hazardous Goods Handling Certification, preferred
  • IATA
