Key Responsibilities

  • Works with leadership according to situation and is setting goals for the team and department which include follow up and strategically correct resources from KPIs.
  • Responsible for setting budgets and delivery within scope of responsibility.
  • Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.
  •  Assignments are often self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
  •  Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior. 


  • Will have impact on development of OEE and cost on mid to long range plans. 
  • Responsible for kdeveloping and implementing maintenance and reliability strategies for the plant.
  • Implement and develp maintenance turn-around strategies for plant and for the company as a whole.
  • Work with the corporate maintenance and repliability group to implement initiatives to suppore plant strategy. 

Financial Accountability:

  • Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets and business plans in maintenance area Conducts periodic review of financial, Life Cycle Profit (LCP) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) performance.
  • Secure resources and view of maintainability in investment projects Responsible for Maintenance plans that includes reinvestment plan.

Required Skills

  • Solve complex productivity issues with strong decision making which includes staff within department as well as other groups and internal customers.
  • Solution orientated for abstract and strategic problems for plant rather than department.
  • Decision making out of situation. Have a good knowledge of setting strategies of maintenance and how to move forward within the field of maintenance.
  • Creative and develop teams to over accomplish.
  •  Strong supporter of health and safety behavior.

Interaction with others:

  • Interaction with production, HSES and rest of Plant Lead Team.
  • Supportive to Reliability director.
  • Secure that the plant and the company is informed about how modern maintenance and reliability are performed in process industry. 
  • Be able to represent the company externally.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • 10-15+years with BS in designated Engineering or related field.
  • Supervisory II training and experience.  Complex Project Mgmt. experience.
