The purpose of the Finance Manager role is to provide FP&A, financial analytic support, and business partner support to identified stakeholders to maximize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Own and manage the country’s general ledger and financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and corporate accounting standards under IFRS
  • Support the global month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Partner with external service providers (e.g., accounting firms, tax consultants, payroll vendors) to ensure high-quality service delivery and performance
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local financial institutions, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies

 

Taxation & Compliance

  • Oversee all tax-related matters including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and payments in compliance with local laws
  • Liaise with tax advisors and authorities during audits and assessments

 

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Operate and assist in maintaining the system of internal controls, including monitoring the performance of internal controls in country
  • Support the design and rollout of standardized global policies, procedures, and controls
  • Support internal and external audit processes and remediation of control deficiencies

 

Strategic Support & Special Projects

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization

 

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise the work team (third-party service providers) by guiding, training, monitoring performance, and evaluating results through close partnership and regular Contract Performance Reviews

Required Skills

  • 7-10 years of requisite experience with general leger accounting, technical accounting and both, direct & in-direct tax
  • Strong knowledge of local tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards as well as International Accounting Standards
  • Experience with SAP or another comparable ERP preferred
  • Fluent in English

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting required
  • CRC credential preferred
