Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance operations on specific tasks.
  • Put in place corrective action on poor performers with the Line Manager.
  • Propose improvements in the monitoring of stocks and management of spare parts.
  • Participate in preparation of the program of preventive or predictive maintenance, identifying repeat failures.
  • Identify deviations from schedule and report them to your Line Manager.
  • Participate in preparation of plans for shutdown in coordination with the services Reliability, HSE and Production departments, the maintenance team and Engineering, to carry out all the required operations.
  • Plan these needs and resources for the shutdown.
  • Prepare these spare parts in close cooperation with the Store
  • Analyze the needs in terms of preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
  • Recommend the use of approved external resources for correct management of outstanding work to be performed with the Line Manager.
  • Ensure that the permits and working methods are prepared, available and appropriate to the work to be performed for each of these work days.
  • Inform the Line Manager of the spare parts to be ordered for the different operations in progress if they are not in stock before these operations.
  • Identify the requirements in terms of special equipment (cranes, etc.) and estimate the human resources required to perform the works efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills

Possess experience and demonstrable knowledge in:

  • Industrial controls instrumentation and electronics
  • Low voltage circuitry, high voltage systems, and power distribution
  • AC and DC motors
  • Variable Speed Drives
  • Control systems:  DCS, PLC, PC, Ladder Logic
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics
  • Instrument calibration
  • Control valve installation & functionality
  • P&ID’s Instrument loops and schematics
  • Troubleshooting electrical Circuits
  • Welding machine electrical systems
     

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • 4 Years instrument apprentice
  • College degree in Industrial Technology or relevant field of study
  • Instrumentation Technology Technical School or College Certificate
  • ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
  • Completion of four-year Apprenticeship Program or Instrument Electrician License
