Production Manager

At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world.  We are looking to hire a key member of our Operations team at our Pensacola, Florida location. 
They are responsible for ensuring a full coordination between Production and Supply Chain to achieve safety and manufacturing targets, always seeking to continuously improve through Operational Excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all laws and corporate requirements.
• Ensure that the Zero Harm Safety culture is prioritized in all activities executed.
• Manage a team of 9 union operators. 
• Support for a 24/7 operation, occasionally taking after hours calls.
• Work with supply chain to develop the production schedule.
• Manage small (<$500,000) CAPEX projects.
• Provide process engineering expertise, including support for a Delta V control system.
• Set and achieve S.M.A.R.T. targets & goals in key Operational Excellence performance areas including Safety, Waste Reduction, and Employee Engagement.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of chemical manufacturing experience in a PSM facility.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong team player.
• Delta V (or similar) experience.
• Capacity to identify, develop and implement improvements / changes.
   

Education, Certifications & Licenses

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering degree
