The Technical and Quality Manager is responsible for providing technological support for process and production activities, Management of quality assurance (QA), QA projects and Quality system management. Provides guidance according to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to develop new operational concepts and technology to support new projects, identifying improvements to production processes.
  • Conduct cost-benefit studies for new operational concepts.
  • Provide support for the implementation of action plans to adapt production resources as required for sales.
  • Coordinate the selection and approval of new raw materials to be used in production.
  • Plan and coordinate test runs, integrating the Process, Development, Product Safety and Sales teams in the various stages of test approval and implementation.
  • Knowledge of the products’ various applications, in order to ensure that the requirements agreed upon with clients are met at the various stages of the process.
  • Support the Sales department in targeting various strategies.
  • Contribute to the constant improvement of quality and productivity levels by making suggestions to improve processes, projects, working methods and other operating aspects of departments under your responsibility.
  • Work to keep the manufacturing process within normal parameters, by overseeing, evaluating and guiding others to meet the established targets and by requesting support from supporting departments when necessary.
  • Provide support for the development and management of operational training programs given to the factory staff.
  • Manage the Quality system in order to retain certifications and oversee audits and recertification processes.

Required Skills

  • Understanding of Kraton’s process technology, system, and work processes.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant technical experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • People management, project management and change management skills.
  • Ability to work with multifunctional, multinational and diverse background.
  • Knowledge and experience with Quality Systems and statistical techniques.

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical and Chemistry preferred)
